MARLA (ex TJ Esperanza, ) was built in 1999 by Amels and last refitted in 2016. Terence Disdale is responsible for her beautiful exterior and interior design.
MARLA has accommodation for a total of 12 guests in 6 rooms, including a master suite, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. There is a further single cabin (with a pullman bed) located aft of the master stateroom with shower and head and perfectly suitable for a nanny/bodyguard or children. She is also capable of carrying up to 12 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
From the lower deck swim platform guests have access to the main deck, lines with a plush sofa along the stern along with a raised table and movable chairs to create a comfortable alfresco dining area placed beneath the shade of the upper deck overhang. The upper deck is accessed either using the port-side staircase, or through the skylounge.
The upper deck aft is shaded by the sundeck overhang and offers an intimate alfresco dining area with a grand circular dining table.
The spacious sundeck treats guests to sun loungers to the aft, a sun-drenched Jacuzzi forward of amidships with raised sunbeds beside the balustrades to port and starboard, and the forward sofa is a great place to take in the scenery, day or night. A projector and audio system on the sundeck form an alfresco cinema for films under the stars.
This custom displacement yacht is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system which reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother more enjoyable cruising experience. She features ‘at anchor stabilizers’ which work at zero speed to increase onboard comfort at anchor and on rough waters. With a cruising speed of 13 knots, a maximum speed of 15.4 knots and a range of 5,000nm from her 95,000litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.
